The pre-patination provides a very effective protection of the wood's natural patination, so that the type of wood in question will not undergo an inappropriate transition period, over several years, when the wood otherwise during this period has large tendencies to develop black speckled areas and shield formations.
Furthermore, the natural patination of the pre-patinated coverings is forced so that the coverings, just a few weeks / months after installation, have developed the same color nuance as they will appear many years later. After installation, the pre-patinated covering can be left as 100% maintenance-free or, if preferred, be finished with the company's TD - Oils for an alternative, authentic, beautiful and different look.
